Shannon Ford

Shannon Ford has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over decades. Shannon is currently serving as the Research and Design Lead for the Benefits Portfolio at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since February 2023. Prior to this, Shannon worked at Nava as a Senior Designer/Researcher from July 2021 to February 2023. Shannon also held the position of Senior Manager of Human-Centered Design at Alluma from May 2017 to July 2021. Shannon's industry experience includes founding and serving as the Principal Experience Strategist at Motif, Inc, where they conducted design research and created experience strategies for various clients. Shannon also has experience as a Director of User Experience at Avenue A Razorfish, managing the UX practice and leading cross-functional design teams. Additionally, Shannon has worked as an Innovator at E-Lab and as a Technical Writer and Course Developer at Uniface earlier in their career.

Shannon Ford holds a Master of Design degree in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to that, Shannon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University- San Luis Obispo.
