Earlier roles include Head of Medical Service Corps Graduate Programs, Inspector at BUMED IG, and Assistant Director of Healthcare Business at US Naval Hospital Okinawa. Kinau McCoy also held positions at TRICARE Management Activity, National Naval Medical Center, and the White House Medical Unit. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Health Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and an MA in Health Administration from Tulane University School of Medicine.
