Gabrielle Mandel is an experienced professional in international development and infrastructure management, currently serving as Country Manager for Brazil and the Southern Cone at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency since February 2007. In this role, Gabrielle Mandel conceptualizes and recommends infrastructure development opportunities with a focus on transportation, information and communication technology (ICT), energy, water, and smart cities. Previously, Gabrielle Mandel worked as a Senior Program Coordinator at the U.S. Energy Association, where management of utility and regulatory partnerships in Africa, Latin America, and the Philippines was a key responsibility. Gabrielle Mandel also gained early experience as a Research Assistant at the Embassy of Brazil. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in International Affairs & Development from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University at Albany.
