Sofia Ruiz is an accomplished professional with a robust background in international relations and policy, currently serving as the Deputy Director for Labor Affairs at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. With experience as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of State, Sofia contributed to the Chief Economist's office and previously worked as a Program Associate with Creative Associates International, supporting a project in Honduras on gender-based violence and corruption. Internships at the U.S. Department of State focused on LGBTQI+ human rights, and roles with Verité and the International Rescue Committee enhanced expertise in labor issues and asylee assistance. Sofia holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
