Adam Karabatakis

Adam Karabatakis has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. Adam is currently employed as a Data Scientist at UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Statistical Programmer at RAND Corporation from February 2019 to December 2021. In this role, they contributed to the creation and maintenance of the RAND HRS dataset and conducted statistical and econometric analysis using SAS and STATA programming languages.

Before joining RAND Corporation, Adam served as a Course Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania from May 2018 to December 2018. Adam also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Social Research - University of Michigan from October 2013 to May 2016. Additionally, they worked as an Intern in the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for a brief period from May 2014 to August 2014.

Throughout their career, Adam has actively contributed to various research projects and has demonstrated proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and programming.

Adam Karabatakis completed a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, spanning from 2012 to 2016.
