Nancy Thorogood

Nancy Thorogood has extensive work experience in the field of spinal cord research and genetics. Nancy is currently serving as the Managing Director at UBC ICORD since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Associate at Praxis Spinal Cord Institute for over ten years from May 2011 to January 2022. Nancy also pursued their Ph.D. in Medical Genetics at The University of British Columbia from September 2003 to April 2010. During their time there, they also served as a Teaching Assistant from September 2004 to April 2007.

Nancy Thorogood obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Waterloo, where they were enrolled from 1997 to 2002. Nancy later pursued their academic interests further and completed their PhD in Medical Genetics at The University of British Columbia, studying from 2003 to 2010.
