Chrysanthi Samara

Safety Scientist - Pharmacovigilance at UBC

Chrysanthi Samara is a seasoned safety scientist with extensive experience in pharmacovigilance, currently employed at the University of British Columbia since October 2015. Prior roles include Safety Data Associate in pharmacovigilance at UBC, Senior Researcher at UNIL focusing on neuron and glial cell communication, and Research Associate at MIT where advanced technologies were utilized to explore axonal regeneration post-injury. Earlier experience includes a PhD researcher position at the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas, investigating neurodegeneration mechanisms. Chrysanthi holds a PhD in Cell Death Mechanisms from FORTH, a Master’s in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine from the University of Crete and FORTH, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
