Minji Lee has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Minji currently holds the position of Head of Data Science at Uber Freight, where they lead a team of applied scientists, data scientists, and business data analysts. Prior to this, they served as the Director and Head of Applied and Data Science at Uber Freight, overseeing a group of talented applied and data scientists. Before joining Uber, Minji worked as a Senior Data Science Manager at KeepTruckin and as a Lead Data Scientist at rideOS, a startup founded by Uber Maps/ATG alums. Minji also has experience at The World Bank, where they worked as a Data Scientist in the International Comparison Program (ICP) within the Development Economics Data Group (DECDG). Minji's expertise lies in areas such as dynamic pricing, ranking and recommendation systems, economic forecasting, and carrier and shipper experience analytics. Minji has also made significant contributions to projects related to ETA prediction and computing PPP-deflated GDPs.
Minji Lee attended Stanford University but did not complete their PhD. Minji obtained a Bachelor's degree from Seoul National University and a Master's degree from Yale University. In addition, they obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera in 2018.
