Saurabh Ganeriwal

Saurabh Ganeriwal is the current Head of Membership Engineering at Uber. Saurabh has also previously served as the Head of Engineering at AltSchool and as a Technical Lead Manager at Google.

Saurabh has been with Uber since March 2019. In their current role, they are responsible for the development and maintenance of the membership platform that powers Uber's operations around the world. Saurabh oversees a team of engineers who work to ensure that the membership platform is reliable and scalable.

Prior to joining Uber, Saurabh served as the Head of Engineering at AltSchool. Saurabh was responsible for leading the development of the platform that delivers personalized, competency-based and learner-centric education. Saurabh also oversaw the data integration strategy for the platform, working with school information systems, learning apps and curriculum providers.

Before joining AltSchool, Saurabh spent seven years at Google. Saurabh was the Technical Lead Manager for Personalization, where they oversaw a team of 80 engineers responsible for creating a personalized user experience for all XXXM Google users. Saurabh also led the Infrastructure team, which was responsible for managing all Google machines in the cloud. During their time at Google, Saurabh spearheaded a system redesign that resulted in 10x improvements on uptime and performance.

Saurabh Ganeriwal received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of California, Los Angeles. Saurabh also holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
