Roman Smyatkin

Roman Smyatkin is a seasoned Senior Oracle Database Administrator with extensive experience in managing and optimizing Oracle databases across several organizations. Currently at UBS since September 2016, Roman oversees Oracle Exadata and Oracle Database Appliance, focusing on performance tuning and proactive database monitoring for high availability. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Oracle DBA at the Federal Tax Service, where Roman managed large VLDBs and Oracle RAC configurations. Prior to that, Roman worked as a Senior Oracle DBA at ООО ИНЭК-АС, providing technical support and administration for multiple versions of Oracle databases. Roman holds a degree in engineering from the Moscow Aviation Institute, awarded in 2005.
