Benjamin Hermalin

Benjamin Hermalin is an accomplished academic and administrator with extensive experience at the University of California, Berkeley, serving as Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost since 1988, where responsibilities include acting as the chief operating officer and chief academic officer. Benjamin has also contributed as a Professor, engaging in research, teaching, and service, and previously held the role of Vice Provost for the Faculty, overseeing academic personnel matters. As a co-founder of bepress from 1999 to 2001 and a former Professor at Cornell University, Benjamin's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University.
