Liangfang Zhang currently serves as the Chair of the Department of NanoEngineering at UC San Diego, where other roles include Joan and Irwin Jacobs Chancellor’s Endowed Chair Professor, Professor, Director of the Chemical Engineering Program, and Director of the Center for Engineering in Cancer. Before joining UC San Diego in 2008, Liangfang Zhang worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT from 2006 to 2008. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2002-2006), a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University (2000-2002), and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University (1996-2000).
