Xu Meiyu currently serves as a Principal Scientist at UCB, specializing in vector design for gene therapy projects, in vitro screening, and capsid engineering since March 2020. Prior to this role, Xu Meiyu held positions as Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist I at UCB, focusing on similar areas of research. Xu Meiyu's earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Scientist role at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where the focus was on discovering novel capsid variants for liver transduction, and a Research Investigator position at Brown University, which involved studying the pathology of Tau and gliosis in an aged mouse model. Additionally, Xu Meiyu contributed to research on neuropsychiatric diseases at Yale University School of Medicine as an Associate Research Scientist. Xu Meiyu holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Memorial University and both an MS in Marine Sciences and a Bachelor's degree from Ocean University of China.
