David Kakembo

David Kakembo is currently a PhD candidate at Utrecht University since September 2023 and serves as a Senior Biotechnologist at the Uganda Industrial Research Institute since March 2023. David has held a position as a Molecular Biologist at the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) since April 2019, where past roles included Volunteer Research Assistant in molecular biology. Additionally, David worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at UGent from February 2020 to January 2022, teaching various practical courses in Molecular Biological Analysis, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Immunology. Academically, David holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Jeonbuk National University (2016-2019) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Agriculture from Makerere University (2010-2015).
