Nicholas Karyeija

Nicholas Karyeija is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in tax compliance and financial oversight, currently serving as the CRM for the Foods and Beverages sector at Uganda Revenue Authority since May 2013. In this role, Nicholas focuses on enhancing voluntary compliance through stakeholder engagements and compliance advisories. Previously, as a Compliance Officer at URA, Nicholas conducted risk-based tax audits and worked to increase revenue by reconciling taxpayer ledgers. Before joining URA, Nicholas served as a Credit Support Officer at ACE Global Depository, overseeing contracts in agriculture and petroleum, and completed a traineeship at Shell Uganda Limited. Nicholas holds multiple degrees including a Bachelor of Laws from Cavendish University Uganda and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Makerere University, along with a CPA qualification.
