James Astley

James is a partner within the audit department, having joined the London office of UHY Hacker Young in 2011.

He has experience auditing and advising both listed and private companies across a broad range of sectors including, financial services, technology, natural resources and automotive.

As one of the more senior members of the firm’s financial services group he has a wealth of experience auditing and advising FCA regulated firms, including private equity and venture capital funds, fund managers, brokers, and corporate finance houses. He also supports numerous clients with their FCA compliance and reporting.

In addition to audit, James has acted as reporting accountant for a number of companies in relation to their admission to the London Stock Exchange and AIM Market. He has also led various financial due diligence investigations in the UK and abroad in connection with acquisitions covering a variety of sectors.

In his spare time James enjoys playing golf and is a keen motorsport fan.
