Paul Blackmore

Paul Blackmore is a seasoned technical expert in the energy storage sector, currently serving as a Technical Specialist at UKBIC since February 2019. With a diverse background, Paul has held key positions such as Manufacturing Engineer at AMTE Power, responsible for scaling up next-generation battery technologies, and Technical Specialist at the University of Warwick's WMG, where equipment selection for the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre was undertaken. Prior roles include Chief Manufacturing Engineer at ZapGo Ltd, where advancements in supercapacitor technology were made, and Project Manager at WMG, overseeing the Battery Materials Scale-up Pilot Line. Paul’s extensive experience includes engineering management positions at Cella Energy and Nexeon Ltd, specializing in innovative battery materials, as well as consultancy roles at QinetiQ and ABSL Space Products. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aston University.
