Dawood Dassu

Dawood Dassu has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dawood started their career at the University of Leeds as a Consultant Medical Statistician from 1997 to 2000. Dawood then worked at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, where they held the role of Associate Director Continuous Business Improvement (MBB) from an unspecified date until 2009. From 2006 to 2011, they also served as a Master Black Belt at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. Dawood then joined AstraZeneca as the Director of Lean from June 2011 to December 2012. Dawood later established their own management consultancy, Lean Science Ltd, in 2012 and worked as its Director until April 2019. During their time at Lean Science Ltd, they specialized in the application of Lean innovation methods in R&D. From 2015 to 2016, Dawood worked as a Facilitator at BioPhorum Operations Group. Dawood then rejoined BioPhorum Operations Group as a Phorum Lead (Fill and Finish) from April 2019 until December 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Imaging Operations at UK Biobank since December 2022.

Dawood Dassu earned an MSc degree in Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, during the academic year of 1992 to 1993.
