Gareth Gregory

Gareth Gregory has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Gareth currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at UK Biobank, a position they have held since 2019. In this role, they are responsible for finance, procurement, and human resources, leading a team of 12. Gareth also served as the CFO for UK Biocentre, a subsidiary of UK Biobank, from 2019 to 2020.

Prior to their role at UK Biobank, Gareth worked at the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) from 2014 to 2019. Gareth held the position of Director for Finance, where they led the finance, corporate performance, planning, and risk management functions. Furthermore, Gareth has held roles at Auckland Transport, Auckland Council, Deloitte New Zealand, and the UK National Audit Office, where they gained skills in infrastructure support management, business planning and evaluation, strategic analysis, project management, and auditing.

Gareth Gregory attended the Cranfield School of Management from 2019 to 2021, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to that, they attended the University of Cambridge from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences (MA).
