Colin Barden Mbe Fiet

Colin Barden MBE FIET has over 16 years of experience in the power industry. Colin is currently serving as the Head of Quality of Supply at UK Power Networks since January 2019. Prior to this role, Colin held the position of Head of Network Operations at UK Power Networks for 8 years, where they managed a team of over 1000 employees responsible for maintenance, construction, and repair activities in the South East Region. Before joining UK Power Networks, Colin worked at EDF Energy as the Head of Network Operations for 3 years and at Seeboard Powerlink as a Construction Manager for 4 years.

Colin Barden MBE FIET pursued their education at South Kent College of Technology from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Meopham High School from 1976 to 1980, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
