Philip Glanville

Philip Glanville serves as the Director of Advocacy and Engagement at UK100 since January 2024 and has been a Fellow at The British-American Project since November 2019. Previously, Philip held several influential positions, including Local Government Peer at the Local Government Association, where support was provided to councils nationwide, and Political Lead at the London Office of Technology & Innovation, which was co-founded with London Councils and the Greater London Authority. Philip was the Elected Mayor of the London Borough of Hackney from May 2006 to September 2023, leading various initiatives such as infrastructure development, housing strategy, and climate action. Prior roles include Statutory Deputy Mayor, Cabinet Member for Housing, and Board Member at the London Legacy Development Corporation. Philip's early career includes roles at the National AIDS Trust and as Head of Office for Rushanara Ali MP. Academic credentials include a BSc in International Relations from The London School of Economics.
