Lian van der Vyver

Lian van der Vyver has extensive experience in the software development industry. They started their career as an IT Consultant at Angio Quip, where they were responsible for IT support. After that, they joined Sybrin Limited as a Junior Software Developer, working on various projects and learning new programming languages. They then joined Entelect as a Software Engineer, where they built an internal system for a client in the car rental industry. Lian then moved to Mastercard, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for three years. Following this, they joined Laxton Group as a Team Lead for Chameleon Software Development. After their time at Laxton Group, Lian worked at AO Technology Group as the Head of IT and Operations. Currently, Lian is serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Ukheshe, where they previously held the position of Engineering Manager.

Lian van der Vyver completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering at Belgium Campus IT Varsity from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, Lian obtained a National Senior Certificate from Die Hoërskool Wagpos from 2007 to 2010, with subjects including Afrikaans, English, Mathematics, Life Orientation, Computer Application, and Electrical T. Lian also obtained additional certifications in Application Security and Secure Coding Training for both Android and iOS from Codebashing in September 2017.
