Ross Tasker has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate development, strategy, and fintech. Ross is currently the President of Corporate Development & Strategy at Ukheshe, where they have been working since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief of Staff at Ukheshe from 2022 to 2023. Ross also has experience as a member of the OPUS organization, starting in 2023. In 2020, they served on the Advisory Board of Jem and worked as an Executive in Fintech Venture Capital at Khulisa Investment Partners from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, Ross has worked as a Tutor at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School for the Fintech Programme from 2017 to 2020. Ross co-founded Nobuntu - Innovative Fintech in 2017 and worked as a Senior Associate in M&A at Bowmans from 2012 to 2016.
Ross Tasker has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Cape Town, which they obtained from 2009 to 2011. Ross also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Stellenbosch University, earned from 2005 to 2008. Furthermore, they completed the Executive Education Program, Rethinking Financial Inclusion, at Harvard Kennedy School in 2018. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate in Impact Investing in Africa from the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town. Additionally, Ross Tasker holds certifications in RE1 - Long term insurance category A, B1, B2 and Collective Investment Schemes and RE5 - Long term insurance category A, B1, B2 and Collective Investment Schemes from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority, which they obtained in 2019.
