Kathleen Harrison has extensive experience in human rights advocacy and public service, currently serving in the Ulster County Human Rights Commission since October 2004. Key responsibilities include investigating discrimination complaints in accordance with New York State Human Rights Law and fostering communication between government and community services. Additionally, Kathleen has held roles in the Department of Social Services and the Department of Mental Health, focusing on resource referral, public mental healthcare, and staff training. Prior experience includes event planning and coordination at SUNY New Paltz Wood Co. Catering and Mohonk Resort Hotel. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management and Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from SUNY Empire State College, a certification in Human Rights Law from the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights, and various other degrees in business and liberal arts.
