Senior Director, Sales at Ultima Genomics

Alix Cruse has a strong background in the field of genomics and sales. Alix is currently working as the Senior Director of Sales at Ultima Genomics, a position they started in April 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Global Director of Strategic Partnerships at Thermo Fisher Scientific from January 2021 to May 2022.

Alix also has experience at ReadCoor, Inc., where they served as the Senior Director of Sales from February 2020 to January 2021. During their time at ReadCoor, they played a significant role in the launch of the RC2 instrument, the first in situ 3D sequencing instrument, and was responsible for managing the early access program and developing pipeline expansion.

Alix's career in the genomics field started at Helicos BioSciences, where they worked as a Field Applications Scientist from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they were a Senior Research Associate and Applications Scientist at the same company from 2006 to 2008. Alix also gained experience at RainDance Technologies as a Commercial Applications Scientist from 2010 to 2011, and at the Broad Institute as a Process Supervisor and Sequencing Coordinator from 2004 to 2006.

Alix's earliest role was as a Research Assistant at the Whitehead Institute from 2000 to 2003. Through their various positions, Alix has built a strong foundation in the genomics industry and has demonstrated expertise in sales, strategic partnerships, and technical applications.

Alix Cruse holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biotechnology with a focus on Chemical Engineering and Biology from Tufts University. Alix also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Loyola Marymount University. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained several certifications, including a Drug Development and Product Management Certificate from the UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in April 2021. Alix also holds certifications in Strategic Selling Coaching, Conceptual Selling, and Strategic Selling, which were obtained from the Miller Heiman Group in 2017 and 2013, respectively.
