Lead Author for Product Management Course at Ultima

Rafael Auday has been working in the field of digital product management since 2012. Rafael started their career at InfoLink Teleinformática as Development Manager/Scrum Master, where they were responsible for the restructuring of the company in the development, including implementation of project management tool (JIRA), agile development methodology Scrum with Kanban, training all staff (designer, Front-end and Back-end) for new methodology, creation of development environments and approval server in Linux/Unix and versioning of projects with SVN. In 2013, they joined Hotel Urbano as Software Development Coordinator/Scrum Coach, where they were responsible for coordinating, controlling and monitoring the activities of project development systems, meeting the needs of customers, distributing tasks to team, clarifying doubts programming systems in order to ensure the idealization within the required quality standards and deadlines. In 2015, they became Digital Product Manager at Concrete Solutions. In 2016, they joined Natura Cosméticos S/A as E-Commerce Coordinator LATAM, where they managed the budget (CAPEX and OPEX) of the technology area focused on e-commerce, for projects and evolutions in the platform. In 2018, they were appointed Head of Product at Wooza, where they led and developed the Product Owners and UX/UI/Designers team, acted as coach and was the “owner” of the entire product structure. In 2019, they founded M&H Desenvolvimento de Produtos Digitais and joined Escale Digital as Head of product. In 2020, they became a Featured Speaker at Product School, where they helped inspire the next generation of Product Managers to create innovative products and apply best practices in their work. Currently, they are a Product Principal at Thoughtworks and Lead Author for Product Management Course at Ultima.School.

Rafael Auday has an extensive educational background. Rafael obtained a Bachelor of Information Systems degree from Estácio in 2013, a Técnico de Processamento de Dados degree from Escola Técnica Estadual República in 2001, a Business Strategy degree from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in 2019, and a Platform Strategy for Business Extension course from Boston University in 2019. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, such as a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in 2014, a Google Tag Manager Fundamentals from Google in 2005, and a Product Strategy from Reforge in 2022.
