John Farquharson

John Farquharson has a strong background in finance and has held various roles in different companies. John started their career at PwC in 1999 as an Assistant Manager and worked there until 2004. John then joined Lloyds Banking Group as an Associate Director of Finance, Wholesale Europe from 2004 to 2010. Following that, they worked at Tamar Capital Partners as a Financial Controller from 2010 to 2011, and at Tavistock Group from 2011 to 2012 in the same role. From 2012 to 2017, they served as the Head of Finance at DCD Media plc. Currently, they are employed as the Head of Finance at Ultimate Finance, a position they have held since December 2017.

John Farquharson has a diverse education history. John obtained a Non-Executive Directors' Certificate from the Non-Executive Directors' Association, completed a diploma in AMCT (Association of Corporate Treasurers), and earned an Investment Management Certificate from the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Society of the UK). Additionally, they received a CA (Chartered Accountant) degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and holds an MA Hons degree in Accountancy & German from the University of Aberdeen. John also studied German and Foreign Languages at Kiel University. Furthermore, they acquired an Adult Mental Health First Aid certification from Mental Health First Aid England.
