Senior Design Engineer at Ultra Clean Technologies

Cristian Portillo has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Cristian began their career as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Lam Research in 2011, where they focused on the development of the DFX Assessment process and provided manufacturing cost estimates and recommendations for new and existing product lines. From 2012 to 2015, Cristian worked as an Interconnect Applications Engineer at Essai, Inc., where they served as a Project Manager for integrated circuit projects and provided engineering support for technical discussions. In 2015, they joined Watlow as an Engineer II, responsible for developing gas line heating thermal systems and managing the RFQ/RFI process. Cristian was promoted to Senior Engineer in 2019, where they continued to engage with customers and provide all necessary components of a thermal system. In 2021, Cristian joined Ultra Clean Technology as a Senior Design Engineer.

Cristian Portillo completed their high school education at Andrew P. Hill High School from 2003 to 2007. Cristian then pursued higher education at San Jose State University from 2007 to 2012, earning their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
