Deniz Erturk-Hasdemir

Deniz Erturk-Hasdemir, Ph.D has extensive work experience in the field of immunology. Deniz currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Ultragenyx, where they have been working since 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Scientist at the same company. Earlier in their career, Erturk-Hasdemir worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School for twelve years, from 2008 to 2020.

Deniz Erturk-Hasdemir, Ph.D has a strong educational background in biomedical science and infectious disease. Deniz received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Boğaziçi University between 1993 and 2000. Deniz further pursued their academic career at UMass Chan Medical School from 2001 to 2008, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Science/Infectious Disease. In 2019, they obtained a Graduate Level Certificate in Biotechnology Management from Harvard Extension School.
