Neil O'Connell

Neil O'Connell has over 20 years of work experience in finance and leadership roles. Neil is currently serving as the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., a position they started in June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Director of FP&A Global Technical Operations at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. from July 2018 to April 2021. Neil also held the position of Vice President of Global Finance at Providence Medical Technology, Inc. from July 2014 to July 2018, where they were responsible for financial planning, analysis, and treasury management. Neil has had previous experience working at Gilead Sciences, Novartis, Smith & Nephew, and Advanced Tissue Sciences. Neil's roles in these companies included leading financial and accounting operations, strategic planning, budget oversight, and business partnership activities.

Neil O'Connell has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from California State University, Fresno. Neil also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the same university.
