David Heidel has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and general management. David began their career in 1987 with Eaton Corporation, where they held various positions such as Senior Sales Engineering Specialist, Sales Engineering Specialist, and Marketing Engineer. In 2002, they were appointed Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Capstone Turbine Corporation, where they led the transformation and rebranding from R&D/engineering to market-driven customer focus. David then joined ThinGap Corporation in 2004 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and also founded their own consulting firm, DH Consulting, that same year. In 2009, they became the Marketing Manager and Director of Business Development at AeroVironment, and in 2014, they took on the role of Director of Global Sales & Marketing at UltraViolet Devices, Inc.
David Heidel received a BS in Industrial Technology - Emphasis Electrical/Electronics from Missouri State University. In 2013 and 2014, they completed a Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. In 2016, they completed an Introduction to the Internet of Things and Embedded Systems on Coursera. From 2017 to 2021, they completed a Coursera Specialization Certificate in Strategic Management and Innovation from Copenhagen Business School.
