Chelsea Fowler is a dedicated marine environmental scientist currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, focusing on aquaculture resiliency in response to climate change. As a Graduate Research Assistant and a former Maryland SeaGrant Research Fellow, Chelsea has contributed to significant projects, including eDNA analysis for managing Mid-Atlantic alosine fishes. Prior experience includes roles as a Science Programs Specialist at the Ecological Society of America, where involvement in NSF grant-funded projects fostered collaboration in ecological science, and as a Coastal Resource Management Specialist for the Peace Corps in the Philippines, promoting marine habitat restoration and fisheries management. Chelsea's extensive background also includes environmental technician work with the Environmental Protection Commission, educational internships at Tampa Bay Watch and major natural history institutions, and a solid academic foundation with a Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Marine Estuarine and Environmental Science and Marine Sciences, respectively.
