Massimo Colombo

Massimo Colombo is a seasoned professional in the field of research and development, specializing in catalyst design and raw materials for automotive applications. Currently serving as Senior Manager R&D at Umicore since May 2018, Massimo leads a team of project managers and is responsible for coordinating global research projects and developing new technologies for gasoline aftertreatment systems. Prior roles include Senior R&D Manager and Project Manager in Automotive Catalysts, where Massimo focused on the development of gasoline and diesel technologies, including the implementation of advanced data analytics and IP management. Massimo's background also includes significant research experience at IIT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia as a Group Leader/Postdoc, and earlier academic and engineering roles, culminating in a Ph.D. from Politecnico di Milano.
