Sheila Marie Fleming

Sheila Marie Fleming has an extensive background in education, art instruction, and community engagement. Currently serving as staff and tour guide at Umlauf Sculpture Garden since 2005, Sheila is also a Visitor Engagement Tours and Art School Instructor at The Contemporary Austin, fostering a connection with visitors from around the world. As a professional artist, Sheila creates paintings, pastels, watercolors, and sculptures. Previously, Sheila worked as a writer and photographer for the West Austin Newspaper, covering local news and events, and taught adult education classes at the University of Texas for 17 years. Additional experience includes catering for Gov. Ann Richards and teaching young students at Dougherty Arts. Sheila holds a BA in English, Art, and Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
