Anas Nasrun began his career in 1997 as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co for 6 years before continuing his career in various industries including oil and gas, food, logistics, property, lubricants, aerospace, manufacturing, and engineering. He has over 23 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategy, business development, sales and marketing, and turnaround.
He joined UMW Group in 2010 and was pivotal in identifying potential companies which have contributed to the bottom line of the Manufacturing & Engineering Division and enhanced shareholders’ value. He also initiated market penetration and market expansion regionally by creating brand awareness for UMW’s lubricants and auto-component parts in Malaysia, the ASEAN region, and China via collaboration with new and existing dealers, distributors, and business partners.
At UMW, he has undertaken various initiatives to improve organizational efficiency and enhance profitability, through restructuring, cost savings and funds optimization exercises.
