Chen Yu Fan

Chen Yu Fan has a diverse range of work experience in the field of firmware engineering. Most recently, they served as a Firmware Engineer at UnaBiz, where they developed and maintained gas meter NCU (network controlling unit). This involved working on firmware for various gas meters, fixing issues that impacted thousands of deployed devices, and maintaining the firmware for over 100,000 units.

Prior to that, Chen Yu Fan worked at Audix Corporation as a Firmware Engineer, focusing on developing and maintaining smart city IoT devices. They specifically worked on flood detection devices that provided water information to a cloud server for efficient problem-solving by the Water Resources Agency. They also worked on water gate devices to monitor water flow.

Earlier in their career, Chen Yu Fan held positions at Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. As a Section Manager, they led the development of software systems to support firmware validation. They designed software interfaces for new firmware and enhanced low-level libraries to support multiple operating systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, they developed applications for assembly lines and for validating firmware functions.

Most recently, Chen Yu Fan obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington, which they completed from 2018 to 2020.
