Marianne Okal

Marianne Okal is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in geodesy, project management, and engineering support for NSF-funded projects in remote polar regions. Currently serving as Engineer III at EarthScope Consortium since January 2023, following a similar role at UNAVCO where responsibilities included project leadership for the Common Sensor Platform engineering initiative. Previous roles encompass significant contributions in a medical device startup as Project Engineer and Senior Engineer, alongside a decade of experience at UNAVCO focusing on terrestrial lidar data engineering. Marianne's early career included engineering positions at the U.S. Geological Survey and trail maintenance at Yosemite National Park.
