Erik Werkman

Erik Werkman serves as Director Legal & Compliance at Unbrick since March 2021, overseeing legal matters and compliance for the developer of sustainable luxury vacation homes. Previously, Erik held roles including General Counsel and Company Secretary at Shared Stories Group, managing legal affairs for publishing and e-commerce entities. Erik's extensive experience includes positions as General Counsel at Bookchoice, Elly's Choice, Coodx Group, and DIDIX Group, where responsibilities ranged from managing legal affairs to leading compliance projects and preparing companies for sale. Additionally, Erik was General Counsel at BCD Group, providing legal oversight for an international travel industry leader. An early career at TMF Group involved client portfolio management and legal compliance, while consulting roles at Ernst & Young involved strategic advising for various associations. Erik holds an Executive Master of Compliance from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a Master of Laws in Corporate Transactions from Grotius Academie, and a Master in Law from Utrecht University.
