Maria Esposito

Maria Esposito is a seasoned public health professional with significant experience in research and project management, particularly focused on HIV/AIDS prevention and care. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the UNC Chapel Hill Center for AIDS Research, Maria conducts participant interviews and analyzes data related to HIV care perceptions in North Carolina. Previous roles include Senior Project Management Specialist and Financial Analyst in the Department of Defense's HIV/AIDS Prevention Program at Alaka`ina Foundation and RTI International, respectively. Maria also held positions as Lead Graduate Assistant at the Carolina Center for Public Service, Research Scholar at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, and Global Health Program Assistant at USAID. With a Master of Public Health from UNC and a Bachelor's in Public Health from American University, Maria has a solid educational foundation complemented by practical experience in community health initiatives and research across various organizations.
