Johanna Silvander

Johanna Silvander serves as a Program Manager and Trade and Sustainability Lawyer at UNCTAD, managing productive capacities support programs and providing legal and policy analysis related to sustainable trade and investment. Prior experience includes roles at the International Labour Organization, where responsibilities ranged from coordinating meeting secretariats to serving as an adviser on Decent Work Strategies, as well as positions involving legal and policy research. Johanna has also worked as CEO and independent consultant at Silvander Group of Excellence, providing aid for trade and legal consulting services. Johanna's early career includes roles in the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and other organizations, with a strong focus on trade policy, market access, and human rights. Academic qualifications include multiple degrees in International Law from Åbo Akademi University and the University of Helsinki.
