Farah Nasri

Head & Focal Point-sharjah-unesco Creative City Of Crafts & Folk Arts at UNESCO

Farah Nasri has a diverse work experience in the field of curation, design, and creative city development. Farah worked as the Acting Manager for Curation & Design at IRTHI Contemporary Craft Council in Sharjah starting from August 2018. Farah also served as the Head and focal point for the Sharjah-UNESCO Creative City of Crafts & Folk Arts in 2019. Farah is the Founder of Design Kills Habitats, where they conducted talks and 3D printing workshops to analyze and research the urban context and culture. Farah also founded HOOKED|HKD Jewelry, focusing on creating 3D printed wearable sculptures inspired by tribal and Bedouin references.

Farah Nasri has a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the American University of Sharjah, which they completed from 2007 to 2012. Farah also participated in a summer course in Architecture at the Architectural Association in 2009. Farah further expanded their education with a Watch Making Workshop in Industrial and Product Design at ECAL - Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne in 2018. In 2012, they took part in an Architecture Exchange Programme in partnership with AUS at Politecnico di Milano. Farah has also pursued various short-term courses and programs related to fashion, curating, and art activities at Institut Français de la Mode, Sotheby's Institute of Art, and The Museum of Modern Arts, MOMA in 2020.
