Fariha Hossain

Fariha Hossain is currently serving as a GBV Associate at UNHCR Bangladesh, focusing on gender-based violence in the Rohingya refugee crisis since June 2024. Prior to this role, Fariha worked as a Project Manager for the Humanitarian Programme at ActionAid Bangladesh from February 2023 to May 2024, and as a Senior Technical Officer specializing in Women Protection and Empowerment at the International Rescue Committee from October 2021 to February 2023. Fariha's experience also includes contributions as a Global SDG Talent and member of the organizing team at UNLEASH from November 2019 to December 2022, as well as a Project Development Officer at BRAC and a Project Officer focusing on Gender Inclusion at the Reproductive Health Services Training and Education Program. Additional roles include serving as a Master Trainer at The Now Exchange and a Project Management Officer at Sida. Fariha began their professional journey as a Project Intern at RHSTEP in early 2018. Fariha holds a degree from the University of Dhaka.
