Julia Dae Battle is an experienced public health professional with a strong focus on maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health. Currently serving as the Chief of Health and Nutrition at UNICEF since May 2022, Julia previously held the position of Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health Cluster Lead at UNICEF Ethiopia from October 2018 to May 2022. Julia's expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights was demonstrated as a Senior Advisor at CARE from July 2015 to September 2018, alongside roles at D-Tree International and Harvard School of Public Health that involved program management and research evaluation. Julia's extensive background also includes consulting work with organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Save the Children, combined with a solid academic foundation that includes a Master's in Public Health from Emory University and a Bachelor's degree from The George Washington University.
