Giacomo Persi Paoli

Giacomo Persi Paoli is currently the Head of Programme, Security & Technology at UNIDIR - UN Institute for Disarmament Research. Previously, Giacomo worked as an Associate Director at RAND Europe and held various leadership roles in defence and security research. With a background in surface warfare and experience in research, Giacomo has contributed to projects on small arms control, civil-military cooperation, and dual-use technologies. Giacomo holds a Ph.D. in Economics, a Master's Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy, and a Master's Degree in Political Science from prestigious universities.
