Calogero Ricotta

Calogero Ricotta has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Human Resources Analyst/Benefits Specialist at Unified Fire Authority from November 2006 to November 2015. In this position, they organized and maintained documentation relating to employee benefits, worked with insurance brokers to negotiate healthcare benefits, and assisted in administering entry and promotional examinations. Calogero then advanced to become the Human Resource Deputy Director at the same organization in November 2015, where they took on additional responsibilities such as recruitment and conducting hiring processes for various positions, and overseeing employee benefits programs. Prior to their time at Unified Fire Authority, Calogero worked as an Assistant Manager at Mimis Cafe between 2002 and 2007. In this role, they assisted the General Manager in the overall operations of the restaurant, including responsibilities such as recruitment, training, budgeting, and employee relations.

Calogero Ricotta completed their Bachelor of Science in Communications-Conflict Management from the University of Utah, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Before that, they attended Bingham High School from 1999 to 2001. In addition to their educational background, they have obtained various certifications, including PIO Wildland from the Unified Fire Authority in 2021 and IPMA-HR Essentials Program from IPMA-HR in 2019. Calogero also holds certifications in risk management, emergency medical technician (EMT), and various roles related to all-hazards planning and response.
