Antonio Sotto Mayor

Antonio Sotto Mayor has a diverse and extensive work experience. Antonio is currently serving as the Operations Group Director at Unilabs since May 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of COO at Unilabs TMC, a company acquired by Unilabs, where they were responsible for operations, supply chain, software development, and project management. During their time at TMC, they achieved significant profitability improvement, re-built the senior management team, implemented a new company leadership model, and successfully delivered strategic technological projects.

Before joining Unilabs, Antonio worked at Kaizen Institute Western Europe. Antonio started as a trainee and gradually progressed within the company, ultimately becoming a Supervisor. During their tenure, they led and sold lean projects in various sectors and countries, including healthcare, automotive industry, food and water industry, distribution, services, chemical industry, and wood.

Additionally, Antonio spent several years at Unilabs as the Group Operational Excellence Director, where they set up a Lean Team and developed the Unilabs Management System. Later, they were promoted to drive the implementation of an Operational Excellence strategy.

Antonio Sotto Mayor completed an Executive MBA at Esade from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Management and Industrial Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where they studied from 2001 to 2007. In 2005 and 2006, they also attended UERJ for Industrial Engineering studies.
