Ketan Umare

Ketan Umare is a software engineer and CEO at Union.ai. Ketan has previously worked as a senior staff software engineer at Lyft and as a principal engineer at Oracle. At Lyft, they led the design of a large scale distributed training platform for improving the velocity of engineers and researchers. At Oracle, they designed and implemented a block storage product for Oracle's new IaaS and BareMetal offering. Ketan also designed and implemented a workflow client library, a generic distributed job scheduling framework, and a devops automation framework.

Ketan Umare has a Masters in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors in Information Technology (CS) from the University of Mumbai. Ketan also has certification from The Linux Foundation as a Program Committee Member for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2021, Open Source Summit 2021, and KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2021. Ketan is also a speaker for Open Source Summit North America 2020.
