Mike Keast has held several roles in the banking industry, starting in 2004 at Independent Bank as a Customer Service-Teller. Mike then worked as a Mortgage Collector and a Commercial Credit Analyst before joining the United States Marine Corps in 2000. In the Marine Corps, they served as a Marine Corps Security Force Security Guard and Sergeant, responsible for training and combat operations. After leaving the Marine Corps, Keast returned to the banking industry and held various positions, including Commercial Loan Officer, Assistant Vice President, Senior BLC Loan Underwriter, and Vice President at multiple banks such as Independent Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Chemical Bank, TCF Bank, Huntington National Bank, and Union Bank of Michigan. In their recent role, they are Vice President Commercial Banking- Team Lead at Union Bank of Michigan. Mike Keast started their education at Ionia High School in 1996 and graduated in 2000 with a degree in General Studies. From 1999 to 2000, they attended Montcalm Community College without completing a degree. In 2001, Mike briefly studied at the University of Maryland Global Campus, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Following this, they attended Grand Rapids Community College from 2004 to 2005, earning an Associate's degree in Arts with MACRO. Finally, Mike attended Grand Valley State University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance.
