Barbara Petek

Barbara Petek has extensive experience in storytelling and communications. Barbara began their career as an Assistant City Editor and held various editing roles at the Ottawa Citizen from January 1992 to August 1998. From August 1998 to June 2005, Barbara worked as a Senior Editor, City at the Toronto Star. Barbara then transitioned to the role of Senior Writer at the Ontario Ministry of Energy from December 2007 to July 2011. In July 2011, Barbara joined Union Gas as the Chief Storyteller, where they led a team in producing multi-platform communications materials. Barbara currently holds the position of Storyteller at Enbridge Gas, continuing their passion for storytelling.

Barbara Petek has a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Journalism) degree from Ryerson University. Prior to attending university, they completed their secondary education at Pope John Paul II SS. No specific start or end years are provided for either educational experience.
