Sarah Peterka

Sarah Peterka has extensive experience in community and volunteer management. Sarah currently serves as the Director of Community Relations at Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, where they are responsible for developing and executing volunteer strategies and establishing community relationships. Prior to that, they were the Director of Opportunity St. Paul at Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul, where they matched volunteers with nonprofits focused on poverty reduction. Sarah also has experience in event management, having served as the Park & Ride Superintendent at the Minnesota State Fair. Additionally, they have held positions as a Program Manager at the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches and as the Director of Confirmation & Youth Ministry at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Sarah began their career as the Director of Outreach and Faith Formation at St. Peder's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Sarah Peterka attended Augsburg University from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth & Family Ministry. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership at Luther Seminary from 2002 to 2006.
